Zinc base thread compounds

Zinc compounds are approved by API, IADC and Tool Joint Manufactures. For use on Tool Joints, Drill Bits, Drill Collars and other Rotary Shouldered connections. WIN-LUBE zinc base thread compounds are made with finely powdered metallic zinc and are available in 40%, 50% and 60% formulations. Due to their high metallic zinc content, these compounds assure you a leak proof seal under even extreme pressures. They prevent galling and seizing, provide protection against additional make-up, insure against the need for excessive torqueing to accomplish breakout, and provides protection against corrosion. In addition, these compounds will not “squeeze out” under high pressure, will not build up on threads, and are brushable over a wide range of temperatures.
